Problem with wiper motor

Hi, i have a problem with my 1999 fiat punto.
the front wiper motor stoped working because of the rain (isn't it ironic).
the plastic covering it, has openings and the water got through it and screwed up the motor.
now, before installing the new one, i want to do something to protect the new motor from the water.
any ideas?

Re: Problem with wiper motor

Hmmm...........shower cap?

Seriously, water should not be intruding into the wiper motor area. Are all the body panels lining up, and properly sealed or fitted to keep water out?

yeah... that's the problem.
There are ventalation openings in the plastic panel above the wiper motor. Now i don't know if there's something missing there.
Anyway, it does'nt make sense... i'll just check with another punto
