Running Extremely Rich

Hey guy wats up I have a 97 eclipse GS-t and a couple weeks ago it started running rich with a serious idle problem (constantly bouncing).it also stutters between 1000rpms-3000rpm if im 50%+ throttle but once I am pass 3000rpm its takes off like a rocket and boost just fine, i also notice that my stock boost gauge has stop reading i dunno if that has any effect on how the ECU reads the A/F mixture. And my gas mileage has gone to shit im taking 150miles out of a full tank a gas.The CEL is also on and its giving out a Mass air flow sensor code but i don't wanna go pay $250 for a MAF and that turns out not to be the problem.

Help me out guys having to full up every 3 days isnt fun.

Re: Running Extremely Rich

Maybe a bad o2 sensor?

If it's throwing a code, chances are pretty good that your problem or atleast part of it lies there.

Re: Running Extremely Rich

Have you checked to make sure everything is plugged in? How about all your intercooler pipes, are they all connected and tight? Check to make sure all the sensors/hoses are connected, clear the codes, re-drive it and check the codes, post them here and I'll give you directions on how to test what codes it throws. Good luck.

Re: Running Extremely Rich

You paid $60 to do a boost leak test!? You can make your own tester for like $15.

Re: Running Extremely Rich

Does it sound like it wants to start and just can't fire or is it just turning over and that's it? No chugging or anything.
