can uguys help me

hello everyone im new to this forum but lately i have been having problems with my 2002 dodge neon sxt it was wrecked and we fixed it but the whole stock intake system was wrecked so i bought a cai for it, but i drove my dads stock neon and its way faster it can get a lil wheelspin whill mine when i floor it it just goes brrrrrrr. thats one of my problems my other one is i took the rubber accordian lookin thing of my cai and put ametal peice on their and every time i drive it it runs kinda good for ten min then totally freaks out and sputters then dies and i wait for 15 mins start it drive for 5 mins does the same thing. ive already replace the cps camshaft position sensor im thinking a bad maf or one of the sensors on it and that might be the problem with it bein sluggish can u guys help im getting really frustrated any suggestions would be great thnx

Have you checked the cam timing?
If the engine was suddenly killed when it was wrecked, it can cause the belt to jump a tooth.
