Cat recomendations

I have a 96 passport and i need to replace the cat on bank 2.
What do you guys and girls recomend as a good replacement for it . As a note this is a CA car so had to be carb legal.
Also which cat is bank 2 ? as the haynes nor the chilton manual tell you which is which.

Many thanks in advance for any and all help.

I don't know why a shop couldn't cut the pipes on this one and then weld it in???

Re: Cat recomendations

call up your local muffler shops and get a quote. they will probably want to weld it on, (they're cheaper), but then if you want to replace something there you're stuck. i'd ask for the oem type bolt on (it will cost a bit more).

Re: Cat recomendations

You might want to check CA CARB specs. I believe that their specs call for only OEM, or OEM Qualified direct fit units; as per CA EPA reg's... etc... if they check for replacement of the CAT's that is.
Otherwise go with the flow... or least money.
