'93 Cavalier, revs on turns and quick stops

My 93' Cavalier revs sometimes when I'm going around a turn. It also does this when I'm in traffic and stopping and going multiple times. Any ideas on what this could be?

Well, you're post is a little vague in "revs", as in the engine races but the car won't move, i.e. slipping trans?

It feels like I've been shifted into neutral, and then moved back into drive. Sorry, I know very little about cars..
So yeah, the engine races and the car doesn't do anything.
