95 engine removal

Any helpful hints on replacing the 3.8 in my 95 Bonneville? Old one tossed a rod and my son wants it for a starter car. Thanks ET

Re: 95 engine removal

Welcome to AF!!

The best way to remove this engine is to remove the engine and transmission as a unit and remove it by unbolting the cradle under the car and allow it to come out the bottom. Not an easy task to say the least.

Re: 95 engine removal

Looks to be a job. I didn't know if I should try just the engine or pull the combo. Thanks for the input and the info, ET
