1984 Delta 88 Brougham Coupe
How's it goin? I'm new to this forum. Just looking for some fun, and not too expensive, ideas for my car. The mileage is uncertain, its close to 115,000. It runs very well tho, has a 4bbl Holley 850 and an olds 350 engine(Not certain, what year engine is. It was already switched out when i purchased the car and previous owner could not tell me anything more specific than an olds 350). I was wondering if anyone knows how to identify where the engine is from and if they had any ideas for soupping it up? I rebuilt and readjusted the carb last week, and changed the oil, spark plugs, roter button, and distributor cap about a month ago. Its pretty mean, (doesnt have an exhaust, only the converter, no pipes yet), but i want it to be meaner. I want it be badass, and em not a car expert. Suggestions appreciated.
I've been told its a 5.7liter V-8 if that helps. |

Re: 1984 Delta 88 Brougham Coupe
Depends on what year the engine is on Identification.
68-71 v8's are stamped on oil fill tube. Should be some letter codes like- QV-QX-QB-O-N-P. Might try this site Oldszone . But on most Olds V8s the codes are on the driverside of the engine and or head.
