Swapping Transmissions

does anyone know if you can swap a manual transmission to an automatic, and if so how much does that usually cost.

Re: Swapping Transmissions

I am sure it is possible but it will be costly... They say that it is much harder to swap in a manual into and automatic that the other way around.

Re: Swapping Transmissions

i did this on an old 1976 ford escort. really not worth the effort.

even if the tranny is cheap, theres the whole pedal box and clutch crap that is a pain in the ass. even old the old esky with heaps of room, rear wheel drive it was hard. with a 3 being front wheel drive and tighter than a frogs butt in the engine bay, i'd think hard before doing it
