2003 town and country drivers side latch

When I open the drivers side door on my 2003 town and country the interior lights don't go on (passenger side door does). Also, the radio and lights don't go off when the drivers side door is opened (passenger side door does). I had the latch replaced but that did not fix the problem (I was told that the sensor is in the latch). Any other ideas? Could it be a fuse or relay?

Check the on/off switch located either fore or aft side of the interior front door frame, should be black plastic with foot that extends or retracts as the door is closed.

you need to check the wire loom that runs from the door to the a-pillar. possible wire is cut i have repaired several vehicles with this problem

Could you please give me some details on what wire to check and where it is located?

Open the drivers door and just below where the door lock jaws grab the metal ring to lock the door you will see the black plastic light switch (has foot that extends when door is opened and seats when door is closed). Remove this switch and clean the contacts and silicone the shaft of the foot and reinstall and see what that does. I had this issue on my passenger door and the foot was not extending as the door was opened so I had no current flow. I removed the switch, cleaned the contacts and lubed the shaft and for the past two years all has been OK.

open the driver door you will see a rubber seal loom. one end goes to the door the other to the body of the pillar look at the purple wire. Also here is a wiring list. You need to check continuity from the latch connector to the bcm the left front door ajar switch sense circuit GOOD LUCK~
