engine lumpy and no power

Hi
(newbie to this forum)

I have a 106 1.1 2001 and it's suddenly become very lumpy and has no power when you accelerate. Also the engine symbol appears.
I checked the plugs-all fine and identical in colour and gap and all seem to have similar temperature.
At times the engine symbol flashes then goes back on solid. From cold it seems fine and idles ok, but after a few seconds or when you blip the throttle it gets all lumpy again. (It's behaves like there's a bad condensor or dodgy leads on an old type ignition system.)

Does anyone know what this would be?

Does anyone know where the diagnostic connector would be on this car and how I'd invoke and read the codes?

hope someone can help.

Thanks AF
