thinking of buying a new gp soon GXP or GTP

Title kinda says it all, for the all the small annoying problems i've had with my 97 gp gt i must say it is the most fun i've ever had driving a car, not sure what it is about it, but i love it and am thinking of getting a new grand prix (i liked the last body style better than the new ones but oh well) and i was wondering if theres anyone out there that has driven/owns a gxp version and is it worth it to go for or should i just stick with a gtp... difference in cost isn't the real concern i was just wondering what you guys thought performance wise

Re: thinking of buying a new gp soon GXP or GTP

Have owned the 05 GXP for a year and a half, no problems whatsoever, runs good, family of four fit in it and is very decent in the snow. I have never had the GTP (had 01 GT) so I cant tell you how it runs in comparison. It has a great suspenion, just rememeber if you drive in snow you will need winter tires (stock are not M+S rated), I bought a 17" winter set to change over to. Contrary to what I have read in threads on other sites, the GXP is different in suspension than the Monte/ Imp, as it has active suspension and a more performance oriented ride. Hope this help, we love ours so far!

Re: thinking of buying a new gp soon GXP or GTP

I Would Have To Agree Wiht The Person That Stated That The Older Body Style Of Grand Prix Is Better.
Personally I Would Rather Buy And Older Car And Revive It. I Had A 1999 Gtp. Nest Car That I Ever Had And I Still Miss It. It Was Taken From Me In Some Un-for-seen Incident. Missed It Ever Since.

If I Had The Money I Would Surely Like A New One.
Good Luck With What Ever You Choose.
