Race Track

I went to a 3/4 mile motor speedway the other night. They had 2 hours of spectator drags. I didn't enter the G, but maybe soon. A crappy 4 cylinder Eagle Talon (turbo) was tearing shit up. Put all the Camoros in their place. Lost in the finals to a turbo 3000GT because it hit the wall. I just found it funny that a Talon took it all the way. Makes me wish one of u guys w/ the DET could have been there to represent. Makes me want a turbo now, too bad they cost so much.
By the way, why is our car so heavy? Its a big disadvantage on the racing issue. Oh well. Just wanted to let u all know that not one muscle car made the top 3 spots. All imports. :jump:

Actually, the Eagle Talon, the Mitsubishi Eclipse and the Plymouth Laser was a joint effort by Mitsubishi Motors and Chrysler. They were built here in the good ol US at a plant call Diamond Star Motors. The Talon could pull down 14's in the quarter stock! And with 200hp and AWD The car, thats alot of potential.

Wink REALLY!!

An eagle talon can really pull 14's stock. Com on, I'm not to sure about
that one. Maybe with an aftermarket turbo>

I think the "stock" Talon in reference which can do 14's stock is the Talon TSI (stock all wheel drive turbo)

MrCoilover, I wish u could have been there. I can't even count the # of mullets and wifebeater I saw, Usually on the same scrawny people w/ tatoos. It was awsome. Lots of Camaros in the parking lot. Sadly that was as close as I could possibly get. It was rediculous. No where to move cause this event night happens only 2x a year. It inludes a special feature (different each time), spectator drags, figure 8s, euro racing, formula 4, 100+ car demolition derby, fireworks.... and much much more. At one point they did backwards racing which was cool, but not anymore.
