Computer Geeks; looking for WS20k tables
I started a new job January 1st. They fired their System Admin won't give up the Admin passwords & did a fantastic job locking all the computers up. Can't Defrag, do Window updates, install .dll, .exe.. Pretty funny really.
Anyway, after going in through linux, mounting up to the windows volume and copying the SAM files from the system32\config dirrectory and running it aginst an Alphanumeric Rainbow table I discoverd the sunofabitch used Mixed key special chars (ie. !"#$%&' ()*+,-./:;&<=>?@[\]^_`{|}~)) which I don't have rainbow tables for. I'm really not intrested in buying a $500 NTHASH rainbow table from Switzerland. Does anyone have a 33 special chars NTHASH ranbow table(s) I could FTP upto and downloand?? I'm wanting to do it this way because I don't know what files on the newtwork encripted under the admin account. If I can't find a table I'll Edit the SAM file using a boot disk and reset the Admin password. Hopefully he's not the owner of a buch of files I'm unaware of...

Re: Computer Geeks; looking for WS20k tables
Damn, that sounds complicated. I wish as a computer guy I'd be able to help out, but it seems like the easiest way is to make the boot disk and reset the password, however, if you don't want to do that, try to find them tables.
I did a search and came across this: http://www.freerainbowtables.com/ind...bles-home.html Not sure if you can use this but worth a try.

Re: Computer Geeks; looking for WS20k tables
Is this for a server or a bunch of workstations? I know of a tool that allows ANY password, even administrator, to be changed for the Windows login. It runs from a DOS-like environment. If you need to de-encrypt certain files though, that I can't help you with.
I work at a computer repair store, and I found this nice little tool for them so if anybody drops off a computer and they forgot to get the password for the user/admin. account, they can just use this to change it in about 3 mins. That's how I know about it, if you were wondering.
