Sub problem

I just hooked up a system in a friends car. He has a profile ap1200 2 channel amp. Only one sub is working, all wires are hooked up correctly, and both subs worked on his old amp. Could it be a blown fuse, or if that was the case wouldnt none of the subs work? Please help!

Re: Sub problem

maybe a fuse in the amp is blown. i don't know if one blows (assuming there are two+ in the amp) it only affects one channel or both. check them.

Re: Sub problem

Sounds like an air leak. Could be anything. Fist plug the holes where the amp was with screws. If that isnt it. Get non-drying silicone for the sub and make a gasket in between the enclosure and sub.

Don't ever look at cars as just imports or domestics. Just because a car is made in a certain country doesn't mean that it is anything like another car from that country. An example of this is Mitsubishi reliability, just because they are Japanese doesn't mean that they are as reliable as a Honda or Toyota.
