Lets clear some things up

I have a 95 passport. it's my second one, v6 2wd, 5spd. i was wondering what the difference between a "mua" and a "msg" transmission are. Also i hear of an bm trans. another question i have is my gears are kind of hard to shift into. the tech told me it was an hydraulic leak. he didn't specify what hydro. I ass u me it's the clutch hydraulic. he says this is going to cost about 550 bux that i don't have. i was wondering if this is an at home project??? any suggestions. if you know or have access to a blown up picture of this that would help explain things to me. thnx!
