85 Cherokee not starting
I have a 1985 cherokee laredo which is carberated. for some reason when i try to start it, it will fire and not actully start. i have no reason why this has happened. i have replaced the ignition coil, distributer cap and rotor, plugs, wires, rebuilt the carb, and other matience things. All of the wires and sensors are connected properly to the best of my knowledge. has anyone had a similar problem to this? if not is anyone out there that can help me? Thank you.

Re: 85 Cherokee not starting
Well if you've done all the maintenance and rebuilt the carburetor, I'd suspect either fuel delivery or a vacuum leak.
Try pouring a little gas into the carb. If it starts up and runs for a few seconds, it's the fuel delivery, either bad gas (you do have gas? - not to be insulting), blocked fuel filter, fuel pump or something in the carb itself. Check all those and report back with what happens.
