My hunt is almost over.

Well i call about the Conquest tommorow. To see how much it is, what year/model, the rust/damage, and to see if he can send me some pics. I will prolly be able to get it for 200$. i know the frame is off a few degrees so thats 500$ right there to fix, the framing being messed i know i need a new front air dam. Dont know if i need fenders and a hood yet. Dont kno about the interior and the motor was running well when put away so who knows i might have an OLD 'BISHI for a steal.

Nice! Whacha gon' do to it? Get a little 4g63 swap action going on there? Those 2.6 engines arent very good, I'd drop in a 4g63 or 4g64 with a DOHC head on it if I was you.

Everyone always busting on the 2.6L. There nothing for top speed but there torque numbers are there. There also easy to hit 250+ Hp. So no 4g63 in there im gonna stay with the 2.6L.

Ha ha, well have fun with that SOHC. I was into them for a long time, in fact, I came about | | to getting one. Gotta love the extra spool ability of the 2.6 and the massive torque numbers even for stock (isnt stock like 250 ft lbs?) but any one that I've talked to that knows a thing or two about a thing or two says the 2.6 engine is just junk for higher performance builds anyway. Remeber though, 250 hp is easy on a 4g63 too . Not trying to discourage or tell you what to do, just my two cents on the topic... The question still remains, did you get it? What year? Is it the gorgeous widebody years? Man those are hot...

Well the hunt is good and yeah the 4g will nail 250 to a wall. BUT with this 1988 conquest widebody its 200$ 250$ to have the frame fixed 100$ to license now with that price i cant say no but i also have to look at and check to see if theres major rust and all that.

Now onto the motor. Yeah the motor is kinda junk for anything over 500hp but im 17 so 250hp and 300ish lbs of torque will be enough for me for awhile. So dont dog on the motor to bad Thor. We dont crankwalk we just lean out lol

yeah they are somewhat rare most of the time people dont know alot about them. Especially after it gets debadged then people will think hmmm wonder what that car is.

UPDATE

Alright well this conquest is 400$ the frame is not bent, it has no rust, and only 70k original miles. I will be buying it for sure. Its a TSI widebody red.

Well your right there are a couple anoying things going on with it. The radiator support will need fixing i got a guy lined up that will do it for 75$, Front facia is broken of course and the fenders need to be replaced. However the guy is X salvage so he gave me his salvage site i can get fenders for 100$ a pop.

motor and trans are good from he tells it ran good 4 years ago. I prolly will have to buy new seals for it though.
