93 Camry Wagon 3vz-fe idle problems

3vz-fe, V6, 93 camry wagon

Ok so after cleaning my IAC and TB my car was idling great. Then i was an idiot and locked the keys in car with the engine running and hood open. Dealer told me to unplug the EFI main fuse to kill the engine (i only had 1 set of keys). So the next day when i get my new set of keys, i started it and it idled real rough and LOW, around 500 rpms.

So basically after pulling this fuse (EFI main 12v, round cylindrical), i messed something up. Maybe the idle has reset and i need to set it again?? Any help is appreciated. Currently the car only idles low when warm, i.e it still has a cold idle.

If resetting it again doesn't work I'm thinking a vacuum leak. Check all the hoses and make sure you didn't knock one loose or break one.

No im positive there are no vacuum leaks. Its just funny that after unplugging this fuse my idle suddenly goes way low. Bump for help.

If you haven't given it much time yet, do so. Drive it for a few days before you do anything to the engine and give the computer time to reset all the driving parameters and fuel delivery parameters you normally use. I bet it will act normal really soon.

Well even though its not my DD ive still driven it quite a bit after i reset the system (unplugged the battery overnight). If i want to up the idle manually, is there a screw on the TB for me to turn? If so, is it safe to do so on my case?

Consider the possibility that the IAC again got a bit of crap in it coincidentally to the lock out problem.

I'm sure the iacv is still clean. I haven't driven the car thousands of miles or anything after i cleaned it. Plus when i did clean it, i really gave it a good soaking with carb cleaner. Its not like every toyota owner has to clean their iac every 500 miles of driving. Is there any other way i can reset the computer, is pulling the battery enough? Bump for help.

Correct. I was just illustrating possibilities. You can disconnect the battery for a minute or two. That will reset everything. The reason to pull the fuse instead of the battery is so that you don't lose the clock and radio settings. Both methods will reset the comp. There is the possibility the IAC valve has failed. While not likely, it is possible.
