Exclamation stalling when idels

my dad has a 97 delta 88 i belive and when u start it up in the morning to warm up it will stall after like fifteen minutes. At first we thought it was the remote start but then we would use the key and it would do the same thing. Recently it has got worst we have to drive it cold when its like single digits out. So i was thinking it was the idle sensor but my dad said something about a crank sensor so i am asking for help because the ocean is starting to freeze again and im sick of driving to school in the cold. If u need anymore info i will be able to give it to u
