steam

Now that my water pump is on and my leak is fixed. I've noticed driving around, that steam/smoke comes up out of the hood, but the temperature is in normal operating range. I stopped and opened the hood and it was all coming off of the driver side part of the engine. It does this a lot lately since i fixed it and i'm wondering what it might be. Is it possible i have a head gasket issue on my hands?

Re: steam

Are you sure its not leaking some still? If there are absolutly no leaks then it could be a possible headgasket... I had this issue with mine last winter and it turned out to be my thermostat elbow cracked and spraying out all over the motor.

Re: steam

ya let it run with the hood open and see if you see any thing leaking. And also make sure it is not old crap burning off exhaust manifold. I don't think it is the head gasket because it would run like absolute crap and you would have it in your oil.

Re: steam

Did you replace the hose clamps on the hoses, upper rad. hose especially and make sure the hose was seated not over the hose stop tab on the water pump? Also, make sure you didn't evertighten any hose clamps either.
