Ignition Coil Primary Circuit
On my way home from work tonight the engine on my '00 Neon suddenly dropped RPM's and the car slowed way down. I had to pull over to the side of the highway. I was able to drive home with no further problem. A code check threw a 351 code - "ignition coil #1 peak primary circuit current not achieved". Would a bad coil cause this problem? It almost seemed like a problem with the transmission. Could this have been a 1 time occurrance or do I need a new coil? I can install this but how much would a new coil pack cost?
