02 front end damage question

My wife hit an animal with my 02 40th anniversary gtp. There is a hole the size of a hand missing in the plastic just below and right of the passenger side fog light. The lower left center plastic is hanging loose and the back passenger side plastic is broken that holds the front clip to the wheel well.

Anyways, any ideas on the best way to fix this? Does GM have front plastic pieces to order in your color I can replace myself or do I need to spend some money in the body shop? Am I correct to assume the whole front piece must be replaced and it will cost some money?

Try contacting Ed Morad at moradpartscompany.com. He specializes in late model Grand Prix's and he may be able to help you out. Unfortunately you will probably need to spend money at a body shop as anything you get will be a different color and if you order from GM it will not be painted at all escpecially since the front bumper cover is all one piece.

if it were any other model i'd say time to go for some body mods, but since it's a 40th anniversary model you need to stay stock. any insurance coverage?

Re: 02 front end damage question

Thanks guys that helped. I got an estimate today of around $600 using a new GM bumper cover, so it doesn't pay to use our $500 deductible insurance. I am being charged retail price of $375 for the bumper cover. I find them for less online but the shipping cost of the large item eats up the savings. I'll have the body shop take care of it.

I would go to the dealer and let them order it and paint it, at least they will get your paint code correct. Thats what i would do.
