Unhappy 2ooo Malibu Ls Remote!

Hey Folks...i Have A 2000 Chevy Malibu Ls....and The Remote Is Wore Out!! First I Thought It Was The Battery...but I Replaced That With A New One. But The Rubbery Part On The Remote..(the Buttons That You Push)...are Wore Down Pretty Bad...and Iam Having To Push Very Very Hard On The Buttons To Make Them Work....sometimes I Have To Stand There And Push Them Like 5-8 Times In A Row....so My Question Is-----do I Have To Replace The Whole Thing...or Can I Just Replace The Rubber Part.....about How Much Would This Cost....do You Have To Get It From The Dealer?.....some One Want To Sell Me 1?...lol.....any Help On This Situation Would Be Grateful!! Thanks Sharpandsmooth.

Re: 2ooo Malibu Ls Remote!

You dont have to goto the dealer for a new remote. In fact ebay and many other sites sell the replacement transmitters for around 30-40 bucks US.. Some places even cheaper.

The reprogramming for the remote is in the owners manual somewhere.

Good luck!
