Question '90 Cav, bogging, hesitating.

Hey, hoping someone has had a similar problem. I have a '90 Cav, 2.2, automatic,120k. This thing starts and idles great, it also runs great....after it finally gets up to speed. The problem is, whenever I step on the gas, either from a stop or from cruizing speed, the car stumbles, bogs, and hesitates. After a second or two, it will "catch up" and accelerate. To me, it sounds like a fuel problem, but I am very TBI ignorant. Any advice or thoughts appreciated.
