2005 blown tranny and transfer case

My 05 Envoy started making a rattle last week under accelleration. Got worse early this week. Took it in today, tranny needs to be replaced as well as right front drive linkage. 28k miles on it. Glad it happened now! Going to be a pricey one to say the least. GM picked up the 07 Impala rental car which was nice. I was about to put a remote start in it.

Phil, that is a REALLY odd set of symptoms and an even stranger resolution, but you never know.

Not sure why the trans and xfer case would go at the same time & I assume that rt side drive linkage is the pass side half shaft and maybe inner bearing assembly? Either way, if you get out of it cost free, no harm done.

I won't know exactly what it was till later. All I know is I have a loaner car for a "good week".

No, I bought it new. I got my 1700g today, thing is sure small. Lots of wires for something supposed to reduce wires!

Well I got my 1700g today, was supposed to be NIB from ebay. Look new but no manual or connection diagram? I also suspect this needs to be programmed for your setup? Any idea? I went to directs site but it appears only dealers can access the manuals?
