Intercooler "style" air filter?

Anybody know where I can find one? I tried Summit, JCWhitney, SFX performance, K&N.com, and RdFabs = no luck.

Re: Intercooler "style" air filter?

err... never mind. I found what your talking about with a quick google search. I've never seen one before, and probably for a good reason. Must be they don't work like they say they should.

Re: Intercooler "style" air filter?

For the record, so we can avoid any confusion or lack of respect to myself, I'm wouldn't be getting this for the intercooler look.

I've always thought the same thing about them but when used properly, with a bypass valve and possibly a filter condom, and with the wide open bodykit I'm thinking about getting, it seems that it was get alot more airflow then any other cold air intake out there.

Where do you plan on mounting it. The longer the tubing the more the engine has to suck air. From the picture google gave me, it actually looks restrictive and will actually harm performance. But my honest non biast opinion is going to heave to be... A regular K&N or cone filter you choose will work alot better. If you do pick one of those up lance, your not going to feel any gain to make it worth while. Put the money towards something that will yeild a bigger gain. I'm not telling you not to get this, by all means get it if you want it. I just don't think your going to be satisfied.
