question about muscles

haha i'm glad i found this section.

before i started really focusing on working out every day, my bicep and tricep muscles were pretty even in size along my arm.

now, after about doubling the weight i can lift, it seems like the muscle is all focused into the middle of my arm.

i guess most of this is normal, but i dont see it to such a large degree in other guys at the gym i go to...

are there certain exercises that i can do to make the muscles look more even and less bulgy?

hmmm.
i hope this makes sense,

Re: question about muscles

Im a little confused about what your talking about...are you saying your arm is too big in the middle because your biceps and triceps are too big?

If that is the case then you could cut out a lot of the isolation exercises you do such as curls and triceps extensions. My new workout I have been playing with for a little while doesnt involve any isolation exercises and I have noticed that while I havent lost any muscle mass everything seems to be evening out. If you dont want to do that then you could try to focus more on your biceps brachialis by doing more hammer curls and things of that nature and your deltoids by doing more raises and rows.

Maybe this is what your talking about and maybe this will help.

Re: question about muscles

are you talking about the middle as in halfway between your elbow and your shoulder (on the bicep side though) or the middle running along your bicep? if it's the second one then you can work out a different part of the bicep (don't remember the name) with different excercises (don't remember which but i can look it up later, when i'm not dead tired). if it's the first then i don't know what to do for it.

just out of curiosity, what are you curling?

Re: question about muscles

Post pics, difficult to understand what you're talking about.

It could be that you aren't putting the muscle through it's full range of movement, so only building bulk near the centre. You need to stretch the muscle through it's full range of movement to elongate it.
