Wink Paint? Who needs that?

Here are a couple of models I got away building w/o painting the bodies. I just sanded/polished out the mold lines, and voila! A few paint details and panel lines for good measure.

First up, Fujimi's BMW 535i. It's dying for some better rims, eh?!

Next is Revell's snap kit of the Corvette Z06. Cool rims, and the ride height is nice and low, lower than the real car.

Nice, I should have done that to my Mythos because the paint job on that looks like it was done by a blind arthritic fish.

I picked up the split window Vette snap kit Revell put out recently, and just stuck it all together. I wish it was a color other than red, but it still looks pretty good. I may just detail it how it is and polish out the plastic...

OK, Bob, I'm putting finishing touches on the same BMW kit, and I just have to know this - how did you make the windshield wipers fit???? They are ridiculously badly done n this kit

Question Dunno...

It's been so long since I built the Bimmers that I can't remember having any problems w/them. Sometimes I have to carefully bend wipers to fit snugly against the windshield, and the ones on the two Bimmers that I built (white one and another M5 built like a patrol car) look like they had standard wipers. What's not fitting on yours? I wonder if they changed something in the kits in the years they've been unavailable?

I guess I just need to bend them ... In the kit both wipers are straight and both just touch the windshield with the side that is closer to the attachment point, and the other ends are just ridiculously sticking out. Quite frustrating as it is the last thing to go on the model Now, where's my candle?
