is it just cold out?

I've got gmc diesel,lately with the weather as cold as it is my truck has a hard time shifting gears. When i frist got the truck it didn't seem to be as bad as it is now. The truck is 97' and has 269,000 miles on it.

I know its a diesel but DAMN thats alot of miles..i do have a dumptruck with 800k though..
