gas sensor
The belt to my supercharger recently broke, i was wondering if it will hurt my car if i drive it without the belt. I heard that when i step on the gas hard it might push too much gas through and possibly crystalize the spark plugs. Does anyone know if there is a sensor on my car to prevent that? Can i drive the car without the belt without hurting my car? I have a 98' pontiac grand prix gtp

Re: gas sensor
If i herd correctly i dont think there should be any issues without the belt. im sure someone will chime in though to confirm that or not...

Re: gas sensor
You shouldn't have any issues running without the belt. The supercharger doesn't do anything until it reaches a certain rpm anyway as boost is engine speed dependent. Running without the belt will certainly limit performance but will not damage the engine. When you replace the belt go with a Goodyear Gatorback.
