95 Jerky acceleration

Sometimes when I accelerate the car jerks. It almost feels like it's in gear and then not. I think if i take my foot off the pedal and then put it back on it works again, or maybe even when i get it to shift down. I've never seen what the RPM's are doing when it happens. The car is an automatic v8. I didn't know if maybe it was something to do with the transmission or torque converter. I'm not very skilled with this sort of thing.

Any help?

Re: 95 Jerky acceleration

Sounds like torque converter shudder to me, take it somewhere and have them change the fluid, filter, and drain the torque converter, then fill it back up with Mercon V.
