How can I properly remove Trac Control?

This is a 2004 GTP that I think deserves to smoke the tires once in awhile! Even with Trac control turned off, we all know that once they really get spinning, the powers instantly cut. I need some expert advice - what have you guys done?

Re: How can I properly remove Trac Control?

On my 2003 GTP..I took out the fuse #28 that controls the ABS, trac control, magna-steer and installed a kill switch in which i can turn on/off from inside the car. 2004's may be a little different but i have seen it done on 04+'s. I can power brake it and light the tires up till the blow if i wanted....having some mods will help too so you can get more torque, power.

Below is a thread that shows how i did this on my 03 GTP..It will be a little different for the 04's but this is just to give you an idea.

Re: How can I properly remove Trac Control?

Thanks for the help- I should be able to handle that, sounds simple enough. So, one other thing... Power braking in my rear wheel drive camaro is simple, but whats this "Power braking" in a front wheel drive car like the Grand Prix???? do you just set the emergency brake or what?

yeah, you can just set the e-brake and floor it and it should do a descent burnout. Make sure you dont catch a one-wheel spin though(as in only one wheel burnsout) thats how people destroy their differential in GTP's.
