1980 next problem
well on to the next item had the power wire on the starter break and short out the system blew alot of bulbs replaced all and put a new flasher in and no turn signals i have emergence flashers and brake lights but no turn signals cant find a short when you turn them on they brighten up but dont flash any suggestions ??????????

Try a heavy duty (truck type) flasher. They are not dependent upon load to operate, and will flash as long as only one good lamp is connected.

Your short is probably in the steering column behind the steering wheel. Back there a wire is soldered to a metal clip that snaps on to the plastic switch mechanism. If it got hot it may have melted the solder.

i am sorry i should have came back in and posted that i fixed it i kinda feel stupided but when i changed the flasher i changed the one for the emergency side not the turn after a few days i relized what i had done thanks though for yalls thoughts on it
