95 camaro Keyless programming

Ok, so I followed everything in the owner's manual on how to program this remote to the T, but nothing... I know the car has keyless entry because the remotes came on both sets of keys when I bought it. Changed batteries, tried everything. Maybe the way I'm doing it is wrong??? PLEASE HELP!!

Do you have the right remotes?

Re: 95 camaro Keyless programming

Yep, those numbers match the back of both remotes exactly. According to the manual you jumper between wire 4 and 8, then the locks cycle, then supposedly you push the button on the first remote and it should cycle the locks, but nothing happens, I've tried it with both remotes, I've also tried to hold the button down for about 30 seconds and still nothing. The locks do cycle when I use the jumper wire, but nothing further.

Re: 95 camaro Keyless programming

Sounds like your remotes either need new batteries - or are needing replacement.

Re: 95 camaro Keyless programming

ok, so the person who sold me the car said one of the remotes is brand new she bought it from the dealership, new batteries all around and guess what? Nothing... There's no trick or other way of programming these things, just the way the manual says???? Still frustrated.

Re: 95 camaro Keyless programming

The same exact remote is used on the 95 Cavalier, and it is programmed this way. Should be the same for the 95 Camaro since its the same part:

1. Turn the ingition switch to off
2. Jumper program connector terminal A to terminal B "door locks will
lock and unlock in approximately two seconds"
3. Press lock and unlock button on one transmitter. Door locks will lock and unlock in approximately ten seconds. The RFA Module is now programmed for the first transmitter.

4. Repeat step 3 using other transmitter if you more than one transmitter.

5. Disconnect jumper from program connector.

NOTE: The door lock receiver module is in the trunk on the drivers side. The pins are labled from A thru J 16 total. Make sure you just ground A and B together.
