Another Wiper Problem!!
Car: 1999 Grand Prix GT 3800 V6
Problem: Wipers won't run at normal speed. Intermittant works ok, and high speed work. When selector is placed in NORMAL position, wipers operate at high speed. Additional Information: Wipers operate at NORMAL speed when activating the windshield washer, but after completing the 2-3 normal passes, speed goes back to intermittant or fast settings. I'm assuming this is either the stick (control switch) or the motor since this is a simple system, I don't think there's much else involved. I'm thinking the stick is the best place to start, but I'm not sure how to remove/replace it once I order the replacement. Any help or thoughts will be greatly appreciated! -Doug |

Re: Another Wiper Problem!!
I had this same problem. Except i only had high speed no matter what it was on. EVEN IN THE OFF POSITION. I had to pull the fuse to turn the wipers off. It was the control switch. (multifunction switch) If i rememberr correctly t was around $300 bucks from GM. I found mine used on ebay. Watch out though. The one i bought was from a 01 gt and i have a o2 gt and the connectors were different. Its an easy fix only took me about an hour and a half. Hope i helped you out.
