Need help on DSM-ONE

Alright since Nova seems to be gone, we need someone else to help out on coding for DSM-ONE. We are trying to get the site up asap so DSMers can have a place to go (eventually) for all DSM info. If anyone is good at this sort of thing and wants to help I would really appreciate it!

I can't help but I looked at the main DSM-ONE page and the layout looks good.

I know PHP, MySQL, C++, HTML, XML, CSS...... I got what you need.

Well, we need it coded for logging in and out so that members can submit articles and such. There will be a few mods there also to make sure people aren't posting just crap... I'm not sure if we are having a forums section or not with it. But it will pretty much be open to the public to read, but only modified/updated by members and mods.

I can send you the code that I have left/started. I got caught up with the whole graduation/moving into a new job thing. I have a bunch of stuff done. I can also get you guys logins to the domains. I apologize for my lack of time.

I should mention I have a working verison in ruby done. My host originally said "we are implementing ruby" So I developed it in that fully.... a month later they were no longer planning to support ruby.

The working code I have now is in php. Lets get a chat later tomorrow night. I may have jury duty in the day but should be on around 8pm on aim. AIM: Majesticmantra if I can't help I can at least get you guys what you need and proper rights and permissions.

That can easily be done using PHP and MySQL. Does the server support both? I'd be more than happy to help with this. Can use it as part of my portfolio for school

. If you want me to do this I'd be more than happy to do it. Mod privelages are fine to do also.

Yeah, if you wanna use it in your portfolio thats fine with me. I also planned on using it in mine for the site design aspect of it... I am thinking an AIM chat is a good idea. I can be on tomorrow night too since its my night off from work. Lets set a time so we are all on at about the same time here...

yes I have perl, mySQL, php. The current code I have is php/mySQL I think there are a few tables setup too already. I'll try to pull together my design docs tonight for you. I have most of it spec'ed out and documented from our past talks. It just needs to be implemented.

Again I have it done with ruby but I don't have a server with that other then my home server and didn't have time to change hosts yet (I'm working on that).

I never understood what the deal was with why Josh had a problem with that, but w/e. He dosn't bother to check here anymore so feel free to post it up again man. I don't think the current mods will give two squirts of piss.

I agree. I don't know what the hell his problem was with that, I think he though you were maybe advertising for it, but fuck, post it up man, there's nothing wrong with more DSM sites out there.

No need to appologize Nova. I left for a while to because of school too.

Well I can be on later tommorow night. You guys are about 3 hours ahead of me so 8 pm would be 5 here. I think I can do that time if it works out for everyone else.

As for a forum on dsm-one, I personally think there are enough great dsm forums out there already. This site was supposed to be more of a condensed version of forums that just gives you the quick facts/conclusions/how to's/etc without all the other unneeded stuff in forums. But it's up to you guys.

Yeah scottsee, you can post up that stuff if you want to. I have no problems with it...

As for dsm-one, I didn't think we were going to have any types of forums on it? I thought we had originally planned to make it more of a tech article/write up site that could only be submitted by members and the submissions would be moderated by the mods of course.
