Hard to start when cold
I have a 1999 Sportage, and when cold, is dificult to start. I tried cycling the shifter before starting, and the car fires up normal. But, acceleration is poor. Gets better after is warms up, but still not like it should be. Thoughts---comments!?

Re: Hard to start when cold
probably a bad electrical connector for the maf. common problem for sportages.
the common fix is to cut the end of connector and solder to the other end. but just cleaning it will so but this means you would need to constantly clean, like monthly once corrosion becomes a problem for the connector.
