Clutch starts car
My 1994 Ford Escort had an anti-freeze drip that is now repaired. When I start the car now, I don't need a key, but can just push in the clutch. However, once I try to drive and push in the clutch again, the starter re-engages, making a grinding noise. The wiring all looks fine. What could be the problem?

Re: Clutch starts car
I would suspect something wrong with the ignition switch... but if this problem did not exist prior to the repair, you should take it back and tell them to fix it.

Re: Clutch starts car
Thanks. I replaced the ignition switch and the car is up and running again.
