Court cost will kill you.
A lot of places figure by how many miles over like up to 10 over is not bad but get 10-15 miles over and it adds up fast.
I have saw some in the news paper go to 200-300$
And not only fine hurts the insurance company raise there rates to.

There is a kind of curve to it, the faster you are goint too, will raise itbut a 93 in a 65 = $194, and a 55 in a 40 = 99, how do you figure out what the court costs?

When you receive the fine assessed, the court cost is mentioned separately and the total is due for payment.

My only speeding ticket:

78 in a 65 in Woodstock, VA (on I-81) cost me $125 in fines and $56 in court costs. I guess it was a fine-doubled zone. They sent me a love letter to my home mentioning the details.
