I am thinking of buying a 1996 A4 FWD 2.8L V6 PFI SOHC 12V but I can't decide if it would be a smart move or not. Like I said it is a 96 and it has 168,000 miles on it. I have never owned an Audi before so I don't know if that is to many miles or not? Also what should I be sure to check before going ahead with it? Tell me your opinions and suggestions, do you think it would be a good buy or no? He has it advertised for $3999 OBO. Tell me what you think. Thanx

Re: Thinking of buying a 96 A4...
For tuning buy a 1.8T and if you have the money buy Quattro your love it. If not tuning but you want something with a little a bit of get up and go get the 2.8 30v (195bhp). Note the 1.8T can be tuned to be much quicker than a 2.8 and I mean a lot quicker.
