93 PA PCV Valve

I am not a newbie to car repair, but I can't locate the PCV valve on my 3.8 V6? It's normally aspirated....not supercharged. Any help would be really appreciated!

Wink Re: 93 PA PCV Valve

The PCV valve is located on top of the motor, passenger side at the end of the manifold near the belts. Look for a cap that will twist off and then underneath, you will see a spring. (There will be an O-Ring on the PCV cap, do not loose it) After the cap is off, you can take out the PCV, using a pair of needle nose pliers. Make sure you put the o-ring(s) back in the right place on the new one.

I don't know about anyone else, but this site has saved me a ton of money due to less service shop visits!
The earlier L27 engines had "PCV" on the engine cover, which made finding the valve a piece of cake. I don't know why the valve was moved in the later models. Like you, I had to search a bit before I found the PCV valve in our '93 lesabre..it was also a pain getting that cap and "o" ring to twist back on securely. Good luck with it!
