replacing stop lamps

I an trying to replace the stop lamps on a 2001 lesabre. when i open the trunk i can remove the plastic shield but the bulbs are not accessable. there are three threaded studs that protrude from the area. these are held on but nuts. if i remove the nuts, will this give me access to the bulbs?

Re: replacing stop lamps

Welcome to AF.

I believe it will help. They hold the complete taillight assembly on to the body. Some have the nuts and some have the plastic wing nuts.
