Re: Good car for 16 year Old

ok you are 16 you want fast but you don't want to have to pay high for insurance. thats not going to happen unless your parents have a truely perfect driving record/ stuff like good student discounts.

if you want something newer i say something like this.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2005-...QQcmdZViewItem

it has 205 hp, and runs 14's

Re: Good car for 16 year Old

well, let me rephrase it then, i would like a car that is a blast to drive. it doesnt have to be blazing fast, just something that is quick.. as for insurance, i have a 3.5 gpa, took drivers ed, and my parents have a decent record... and when i was searching i came across the mk2-3 gti's.. i heard they were fun to drive....

Go with a 1991-1994 Nissan Sentra SE-R. They're cheap, they look pretty good, and they're relatively fast. I don't know what the insurance is like on them, but I'm sure it can't be too high, being a sportier version of a two door Sentra.

Re: Good car for 16 year Old

Good car for a sixteen year old thats relatively cheap and fun to drive would be a Mitsubishi Eclipse either a gst, gsx in the 2nd gen or a gt or gts in the 3rd gen. If you need any help Private message me (its what i do for a living.)

87-93 Mustang 5.0. They look ok, they're older so the insurance will be cheaper, and it doesn't take much to make them VERY quick.

Yeah, If your really that new to performance cars and/or want mainly a drag car, then a 5.0 probably the way to go. Sentra SE-R would still be better for autocross and such.

Re: Good car for 16 year Old

Listen, for a first car I recomend something that doesn't get you killed. Your choices are all something I would recomend as a second car. Get used to the driving dynamics before you step up to a mid-power, rear-wheel car. The Honda Civic is my catch-all for this category, cheap to buy and cheap insurance. Saving money for your future car. I say practice with one of these low-powered econoboxes and save your money. Then when you think you're ready, step it up.

Re: Good car for 16 year Old

Oh, well if you've already got the basic principles down and have some experience with fixing up cars definatly look into the F-bodies. With the right mods, those things can get hella fast.
