Thumbs down Dead turbo...

Well, if any of you remember my posts about "My Car Won't Start" or anything like that, you'll remember that I couldn't get fire from my ignition system. I took it to the dealer yesterday and the tech got it running for me. Now, my shit only puts out 1 psi. Yep, 1 psi. Guess what? My fuckin turbo is shit! I can't tell if the shaft is broken or seized, but it does have a little play in it. Oh well, good things always come to an end and now I'm forced to go un-forced, or N/A for everyone else. So, so long to the good times....... I guess that's why Greddy doesn't put a warranty on their stuff... I'll go with Apexi next time (about 3 years). Until that time, I'm going to build the motor to be a turbo monster. I'll miss boosting..

Does anyone have any used headers and intake they want to sell me? I can't afford much, I just got raped for over $400 from the dealer. Thanks, I know someone will come through for me.

For the money you'll spend on headers and intake, you could buy a used turbo and adapter plate and keep on boostin' on...That's what I'd do...Replace that turbo, they're universal, remember? Strap on the new spooler, get a decent retune, or do it yourself if you have the skills, and off you go!

I agree with Self 100%. Please don't waste your money on a measly 2-8 HP that you'll get from an intake and headers. Just find a turbo...(I can get you a used one out of a junkyard for $100), and get that bad-boy boostin again.

yeah dude, just get a new turbo...they're interchangeable. no point to going through the work to take it off and go back to n/a, when its cheaper AND easier to get a used turbo. also, find out what's wrong with the turbo...maybe rebuildable?

So the biblical scholars mis-translated the Hebrew word for "young woman" into the Greek word for "virgin," which was a pretty easy mistake to make, since there is only a subtle difference in the spelling. But back then it was the "virgin" that caught people's attention. It's not every day a virgin conceives and bears a son. So you keep that for a couple of hundred years, and the nexy thing you know, you have the Roman Catholic church.

I've decided to treat it like a bad tooth - pull it out. Then, I'm sending it to Turbochargers.com - (www.turbochargers.com).
