Oil pressure sender location

Hello,

My 97 LeSabre oil gauge seems erratic; I suspect a bad sender. As I have no manuals, can someone tell me where it is located?

Thanks
Jack C.

Re: Oil pressure sender location

It is located on the passenger side above the oil filter. You can remove the right front wheel and an inner fender-well splash shield, for easy access.

Just a word of advice in case you have thin arms like me and decide to remove the sender working underneath the car; wear clothing that you don't really care for because you'll get a nice little sprinkle of oil under there! Also, have the new sender within reach so you can quickly screw it into place to reduce oil loss.
