Dirty-Clean (HELP)

Im sick of getting into a second rate car that I clean all the time and is always dirty. The reason for this is that the previous owner smoked and that made all this dirty carbon build up on the roof lining. Is there anyway to get this off. Also, I need to get rid of the stench that doesn't go away. I've tried febreeze, but that crap only made a chemical scent and when that dispersed the smell came back. Please help.

try going to a detailing shop. they usually charge between 75 - 100. steam vacs might work also, but i don't know the long term affects of using vapor on foam.
