Envoy Passlock 2 question

Is it possible to by pass PassLock 2 on a 2005 Envoy with just the proper resistance across the passlock wires (cut yellow). I did his years ago on a VATS system. I know I can use a module for it but I would perfer to permanately bypass it. Anyone know for sure?

Max, are envoys different from trailblazers? My 2005 LS does not have the transponder key (passlock II).

Thanks for the response, but I'm 99.9% sure it uses passlock 2.

Joel can only tell you my key is stamped PS111, 2002 though.

Well, all the docs I have read say all TB's & Envoys are PL2. My 05' Envoy definately is. If you still have your window sticker, it will say.
