all hope is lost....
Well Ive given up on my talon ive been sitting here thinking about it even if i turbo the thing its still gonna be slow. So ive decided to sell my avenger keep my talon and buy a conquest or a 240sx. So who knows what will happen ive found a conquest for 250$ needs some frame work as far as i know OR find a 240sx for 1500$ and have fun. I dunno anymore i want a turbo talon but i havent been able to find a decent one.
What does everyone think turbo my talon? Buy a new car conquest,240sx, or turbo talon?

If I were to do a non DSM project (or once I get done with the Talon) I am going to get a FC and drop in a LS1. Possibly built good, maybe boosted, but probably not turbo'd. What I would really like to do to it is build it good, S/C it, and give it a big ole shot of NAWZ.

 Build on hold until I get a good paying job, either in school or once I get out. At that time a full tear down and complete rebuild should be in order. The Purple People Eater will ride again... January 2011 can't come soon enough.

Thor i think your purple monsters power will keep you happy for a long time so i would worry about it first before an FC

Even if you can find an S-chassis for cheap, you'll have to spend a bit to have fun... unless you like doing 150hp donuts in parking lots  I know you're just looking at fun, but when I go to drift events or auto X for fun and 80% of the cars are Nissans, I kinda gag a bit.

Yea maybe you just need a break.. I just got done putting the eclipse back together, Tuesday I noticed the exhaust manifold had a crack around the turbo flange. Luckily we caught it before the turbo fell off, had it welded back up and its fine now.

It happens, we all get burned out from time to time. There have been many times I've thought about giving up on my Talon project, but after seeing some progress finally, my hope is restored.

i finally sold my talon tsi i was so damn happy it wasnt even funny. i bought a mint 92 240 sx completely stock no rust no dents not even any scratches from some older guy for 1300. i had so much left over from selling my talon i already ordered a sr20 swap from heavy throttle with some extras.
but im way happer i can drive to work and stuff everyday with no worry of it breaking down and i think its a lot nicer and more fun to drive

Everyaone wants a 240 now personally i would rather have the uniquness(dont think thats a word) of a turbo 420a. No offense but i think 240s are ugly and i wouldnt drive one.
