Differential Ratios 1982 - 1992 Camaro

This is just for information purposes that may help in determining axle gear ratios in stock Camaro's 1982 -1992 models for anyone that may want to know.

On the Service Parts ID Sticker (located in the console or rear storage compartment) the RPO Codes as follows will denote the ratios.

GU2 = 2.73 Ratio
GU4 = 3.08 Ratio
GU5 = 3.23 Ratio
GU6 = 3.42 Ratio
G80 = Positraction - Limited Slip
YO3 = 7.625 Diameter Ring Gear , Saginaw Rear Axle

Re: Differential Ratios 1982 - 1992 Camaro

I've been busy still, chasing down that darn vibration problem.
Looks like the only thing left is to tear down the Differential & pinion and change out all of that stuff.
Hopefully it will finally solve the problem once and for all. This has cost me a small fortune gave me & 3 other mechanics headaches.
