battery
Guys,
What happens if I accidently installed the battery cables backwards? I noticed that when I installed the negative it sparked? Could I have fried something? How can I find out? The car wont turn at all. Thanks, I know I'm stupid! |

Re: battery
Probably blue the main 80 amp battery fuse. Look under the fuse block in the engine bay.

Re: battery
Yes, it will most likely just blow the fuse. If you hooked them up correctly and it sparked, just means you had something drawing power when you hooked it up.

Re: battery
Just check all fuses.....and make sure nothing was left on and all doors are closed....no reason to have extra spark if it is not needed.

Re: battery

Re: battery
Yeah..like when you try and put a socket onto the adjustment nut on the alternator and it hits the charge output..and sticks to it!

Re: battery
its the box under the hood mounted on the passenger side..the fuse that blew is like a small square box with a lil window..the fuse should be yellow..

Re: battery
ive done that alternator one before, but i think i was taking the wire off of it and wasn't thinking about the battery at the time(i never do with wiring, i prefer juice to it most of the time to test shit when i first hook it up), and the ratchet hit the intake manifold and blew the main fuse.
Like they said, its in the main fuse box under the hood on the passenger side, i think its the one closest to the front of the vehicle.

Re: battery
The worst thing I did was while I was timing my d15A3 (little beast) I accidentally grounded my other hand to the frame... That hurt like all get out.
